Feeds
Platform Feeds provide a complete nutritional foundation when
fed with appropriate roughage. They are specially pelleted with
natural ingredients to be highly digestible and to enhance the
conversion of nutrients for maximum absorption. Platform feeds
are designed to address each horse’s nutritional needs based
on their life stage and exercise level. They also contain more
complex carbohydrates and fewer simple sugars to provide a safer,
more efficient form of energy. Deriving energy from complex carbohydrates
rather than simple sugars can help reduce the risk of colic, laminitis
and founder.
Every formula includes:
- Flaxseed - rich in omega-3 fatty acids essential
for optimal immune function as well as skin and coat condition
- Beet pulp - an excellent source of soluble fiber
to aid in digestibility
- Distillers’ grains - an excellent and very
palatable source of protein and fat
- Stabilized rice bran - a highly palatable source
of fatty acids
- Antioxidants - fat-soluble and water-soluble
forms help maximize cell integrity
- Chelated minerals - a combination of essential
minerals and amino acids (protein) for greater absorption
- Yeast supplement - supports a healthy
digestive environment and enables better utilization of feed
and forage
- Natural tocopherols - provide more complete
antioxidant activity than synthetic vitamin E alone
